Second California Fitness JC Sport Opens in Singapore
Hong Kong: 12 June, 2006 – California Fitness, part of 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide, a global leader in health and fitness facilities, leads the field at the groundbreaking Velocity@NovenaSquare mall with the opening of the fourth California Fitness Jackie Chan Sport in Asia.
Occupying 2-stories and measuring over 20,000 sq. ft, this full service club will be located in Velocity@NovenaSquare, the new 3-story extension to the Novena Square complex and Singapore’s first ever sports and active lifestyle mall slated to open in November.
The state-of-the-art facility joins Bugis Junction as the second Jackie Chan branded club to open in Singapore. California Fitness is investing a staggering US$3 million to ensure that members enjoy the absolute ultimate in health club facilities, amenities and the very latest in group exercise trends.

The opening of this new club signifies another step in the California Fitness ’100 clubs by 2015’ goal. The company which pioneered the mega gym concept in Asia plans to take Asia by storm via rapid expansion throughout the region.
Jackie Chan, who has long been an ambassador and advocate of good health and fitness, was actively involved in tailoring the ambience and facilities at the Novena Square club in order to create his very own signature. As inspiration to members, the club will feature large custom-made murals and Jackie Chan memorabilia, as well as exclusive “Jackie Chan classes,” which will capture the beloved action hero’s infectious spirit, energy and passion.
