Rob-B-Hood Promotion in Malaysia and Thailand

This past week Jackie was joined by several of his Rob-B-Hood co-stars on a whirlwind promotional tour which included stops in Malaysia, Thailand, and China. Jackie attended press conferences, granted a radio interview, made an appearance at a shopping mall, visited an orphanage, and met with lucky winners of a contest. Baby Matthew was joined by Jackie, director Benny Chan, Michael Hui, and Matthew's mother Victoria. During the press conference and radio interview, Jackie talked a little bit about the ups and downs of filming with a baby. He mentioned that when they started filming Rob-B-Hood, Matthew had no teeth and that by the end of shooting, Matthew had a lot of teeth, which subsequently had to be removed from the film using computer techniques. Jackie said that he fully understood the old saying about avoiding the use of kids and animals when making a film. He did say, however, that Matthew was treated like a king on the set and that everyone was very quiet while he slept and that they provided a nurse for him at all times. Matthew's mother agreed that the company took very good care of the baby.

Jackie is back in Hong Kong for the September 19th charity premiere of Rob-B-Hood and then will head off to charity premieres in Beijing and Shanghai. When he returns to Hong Kong, Jackie will have a few days off before heading to Paris for filming of Rush Hour 3.

Rob-B-Hood opens on September 29th.
