Nominated for Best Actor in The Myth

The 15th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival has nominated Jackie for Best Actor for his work in The Myth (2005). As you may remember, Jackie won the Golden Rooster for Best Actor last year for his role in New Police Story. That win and this nomination are for highly dramatic roles unlike any Jackie had ever played before. In New Police Story he portrayed the troubled Hong Kong Senior Inspector Chan Kwok-Wing. In The Myth he played dual roles: the loyal Qin Dynasty General Meng-yi and Jack, a modern-day archaeologist.

The Hundred Flowers Film Festival takes place from October 25th through the 28th in Hangzhou, China. Results of the voting will be announced on October 28th. Congratulations and good luck to Jackie!
