Enter the Phoenix To Be Remade in Hollywood

Jackie's JCE Movies Limited has sold the rights to its 2004 comedy Enter the Phoenix to a production company in the United States. Flashpoint Entertainment, producers of The Bourne Identity, has announced its plans for the remake.

Enter the Phoenix, which was produced by Jackie Chan, Willie Chan, and Solon So, was written and directed by Stephen Fung. This is the second recent adaptation of a Hong Kong film; this year's Oscar winning film The Departed was based on HK film Infernal Affairs. Flashpoint producer Andrew Tennenbaum is hoping for similar success with Enter the Phoenix.
