Jackie Attends Beijing Olympic Countdown Ceremony

On the eighth day of the eighth month at 8 p.m., exactly one year before the opening of the 2008 Olympics at Beijing, Jackie took part in an extravagant ceremony marking the beginning of the official one-year countdown to the Games. The celebration took place at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square and featured fireworks, ethnic dancers, China government officials, singers, and of course Jackie, who was accompanied onstage by a young girl dressed in traditional Chinese clothing.
