Jackie Chan Clothing Line in Kunming
On the morning of January 30, Jackie attended the ribbon cutting of a Jackie Chan brand clothing counter at a popular department store in Kunming, China. Crowds began lining up early in the morning to get a chance to meet Jackie and when he arrived, everyone began screaming, applauding, and pushing to try to get closer to him. Security personnel maintained order as Jackie walked through the section of the store where his apparel was displayed, straightening things out and making sure everything looked just perfect for the opening.
As "Sincere Hero" played in the background, Jackie cut the ribbon and officially introduced his clothing line. Jackie's desire is to help spread Chinese fashion throughout the world in much the same way that he helped introduce martial arts to millions of people. Jackie encouraged the crowds to support Chinese brands, and emphasized that it's important to be proud of Chinese culture and to share it with the rest of the world.
Jackie spent a lot of time with the fans who'd come to see him; signing autograph after autograph and posing for photos. At one point, he signaled for one little boy from the crowd to come forward for a picture. The boy, Zhang Ren Long, was so happy when Jackie signed his t-shirt that he began to cry. Afterwards, he got to have his photo taken with Jackie, who had been his hero since the boy was only 7 years old. After Jackie moved on, the boy became an instant celebrity as reporters talked to him about his experience.
