Jackie Chan Challenge Cup in Hong Kong

On October 20, Jackie attended the 16th annual Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Inter-collegiate Invitation Tournament, an annual sports event in which athletes from local colleges and universities compete for prizes.  

Jackie awarded a total of more than USD 90,000 to students competing in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and soccer.

With the donations from the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, the gymnasium at Lingnan University was completed in October 1997. It is named after Dr. Jackie Chan. The Jackie Chan Gymnasium was the largest single donation ever granted by the Foundation which supports projects that promote the health development of young people in Hong Kong.
