Scrapbook

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to say that it was the most exciting experience in my life to meet Jackie. My hands, my body, everything was shaking. Even though most of us fans didn’t get the chance to have a single word with him, it was really great. I wished I could have talked to him, and told him what great person he is, and what role he played in my life. It was Jackie who turned my life into a good one. How did he do that? I’ve been a fan since 1992.  When  I was a little kid (7 years old) watching his old movies was
always big fun to me, and waiting for his new ones was always so exciting. But spending so much time at home, watching TV and playing video games and never going out to play football wasn’t that good for me. In young age I already had a big weight problem, actually I didn’t care about it, I kept going that way, and I got bigger and bigger every single year. At the beginning of 2006, in the age of 20 I weight about 140 kg (308 pounds). It was a really dangerous time for me, maybe I could get a heart attack or something like that, the doctors didn’t know how to control that, and they couldn’t
convince me for a special diet.
But then there was this one magical day. At the end of February 2006, I was surfing around the Internet, when Jackie came in my mind. I didn’t spent much time watching his movies the last few years, but that night, I just couldn’t stop looking for Jackie Chan stuff!  I was looking for his new movies, just going from one page to another; I didn’t even know there was a book about his life. The last webpage I went to that night was the official fan page at www.jackiechan.com, and I saw this entry about "Jackie’s Global Friendship Tour."
So I wrote a mail to Kath (who is a very nice person, by the way) and bought two tickets that same night, without even knowing if I had money, or free time, I didn’t even think about that.  The next day I woke up, and I had a really great feeling. I finally started to realize, that I AM GOING TO MEET JACKIE!!
But I didn’t want to go like that (like how I looked). I didn’t want to introduce myself to Jackie like that. I made up my mind, I started to work out. I was so motivated, I removed all the trash from my basement (which is pretty small) and put in some machines for work out, just having the day in my mind, when I would meet Jackie.

This is no joke, from the end of February, until the 27th of April (the day I went to Hong Kong) I lost 47 kg. (103 pounds).  Now I’m about 93 kg. (about 200 pounds), and I feel awesome. I’m doing lots of sports, other activities. And I just have more fun in life. I’m smiling the whole day (like Jackie does).
I just want to tell everybody (even though it’s a little embarrassing for me), that with a little motivation, you can reach everything, every goal. And I wanted to thank Jackie for that. I hope he’s going to read that story, and I hope he realizes that he helps people without even knowing them. That’s why the story of this little boy Sean was so really touching for me even though I didn’t have such an illness like he did. But Sean and me, we have one thing in common, when we had Jackie in our minds, we knew that we could
go through that all, and find our way to a better life.

Thank you.
Best regards
