Jackie Opens Movie Theater in China

On April 20, Jackie attended the opening ceremony for his new Jackie Chan Yao Lai International Theater in Shenyang City, China. The state-of-the-art theater boasts seven screens and was built using the latest green technology. At the ceremony, Jackie spoke of his desire to provide an authentic movie-going experience to the Chinese at low cost. He said that he did not desire to make money off the new theaters; rather his goal was to allow Chinese people to enjoy movies in luxurious, modern theaters.

Jackie held a charity auction at the opening ceremony, the proceeds of which will benefit Shenyang youth organizations and other local charities.

In other news, Jackie was in Shanghai this past week to attend the opening of a new Richard Mille store.
