First Beijing International Film Festival Kicks Off

On April 23, the first Beijing International Film Festival was held at China's National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing. Jackie and his fellow festival ambassador Zhang Ziyi welcomed over a hundred internationally well-known actors, directors, producers and filmmakers.

The week long festival is intended as a forum for international filmmakers to discuss industry development and to buy and sell movies. Event organizers hope that the festival will familiarize the world with Beijing and the world of Chinese filmmaking.
