Jackie: Busy in China

Since Jackie finished filming The Forbidden Kingdom on August 23rd in Hengdian, China, he's been on the go. After a stop in Shanghai, he was back in Hong Kong on August 25th for a few days, then he was off to attend several events in Beijing, then on to Guangzhou to film a commercial. He has a jam packed schedule for the next month or two, and then he will begin filming The Shinjuku Incident in the Fall.

While in Beijing, Jackie attended a dinner with agents for the shampoo brand that he acts as a spokesman for (Ba Wang Shampoo) and posed for photos with all of the attendees and even some of the staff.

Jackie also attended the premiere of Air Diary, a film which he produced as part of his China program to promote new talent in the film industry. He talked about his own struggle to succeed in the industry and said that he was very interested in helping newcomers have a chance at success. Jackie confessed that when he was younger, he would only promote female talent because he didn't want to encourage anyone to compete with him. Now he is promoting all new talent, both male and female.

Finally, Jackie attended a conference for a "Green China" (sponsored by a group concerned with the environment in China). Jackie talked about his own devotion to protecting the environment and encouraged everyone to help out by adopting an enviornmentally considerate lifestyle.
