Jackie in Sichuan, China

Jackie arrived in Sichuan Province yesterday to bring money, supplies, and moral support to his countrymen who have been devastated by the China earthquake. After attending a press conference during which one minute of silence was observed to honor the victims, he visited a local hospital where he talked to the patients and went from bed to bed comforting them.  Jackie thanked and congratulated the relief workers and made an impassioned plea for help. He has vowed to help rebuild some of the dozens of schools that were lost in the quake.

The 7.9 magnitude earthquake has claimed nearly 30,000 lives and the death toll is expected to rise to over 50,000. Help has been pouring in from all over the world and latest reports stated that nearly 150,000 security forces had been deployed to rescue victims. Nearly a week after the tragedy, several survivors were found, although the chances of finding any more are quickly diminishing.

Several days ago Jackie recorded a song to encourage and support earthquake victims. Click here to listen to the song if the video doesn't play. (Or press F5 to refresh the page.)

There are many reputable organizations accepting donations to the China earthquake victims. Jackie will collect funds through his online charity donation system and distribute the money immediately. Please click here and choose from the drop down menu.
