On the Boulevard Montmartre in Paris there's a small doorway beyond which lies a "half-dream, half-reality, and a real theater of living history." To call it a wax museum would be to underestimate this amazingly lifelike show which incorporates history, theater, and art. The Musee Grevin has been described as a "giant encyclopedia, more fascinating than any film and often more lively than life itself."

When Jackie was invited to have his figure rendered in wax and added to this legendary museum, the answer was a resounding "Yes!" Easier said than done. Trying to coordinate a meeting with the Grevin team for measurements turned out to be a logistical challenge which took months to finally overcome. Originally, it was thought that Jackie could fly to Paris in July after the Global Diversity Awards, which were originally scheduled for July (until they were rescheduled because of the Live 8 Concert). That didn't work. Then it was thought that when Jackie was in Paris accepting the award from the Mayor, he could meet with the Grevin team, but that couldn't be arranged. So it was decided that while Jackie was in London in November, the team would come to him - and that's just what happened! Jackie patiently withstood countless measurements, molds, and matchings until the team packed up their gear and headed back to Paris to create the Wax Jackie.
