Scrapbook

Recently a letter arrived here in Hong Kong from two year-old Hui-Hui and his family, who live in the United States.

Hui-Hui

They were writing to thank Jackie for the help that he provided to the Chinese orphanage that Hui-Hui called home for the first few years of his life. It seems that Jackie's helping hand had reached across China to the Baoding Social Welfare Institute in Bao Ding, Hebei Province and then beyond - to America, where a family is celebrating its newest member, Andrew Kai-Hui ("Hui-Hui").

Jackie accepts a gift from the Baoding Government last year. The banner expresses their gratitude for Jackie's charity work.

Hui-Hui and his family wanted Jackie to know how grateful they are to the people of the Baoding Social Welfare Institute for taking such loving care of him. And they wanted to thank Jackie for donating the money for a new building at the orphanage. Hui-Hui and his family know that the friends he left behind will have a better life because of Jackie's caring heart.

The Baoding Social Welfare Institute.

Jackie was very touched when he saw Hui-Hui's photo and heard his story, and he wanted to share it with you. "Put it on the web!!" said Jackie. And so here it is: Hui-Hui's happy story.

You truly inspire me jackie...I usually complain after my normal 8-hr work..that i am tired and all..yet you...your job is far far far more exhausting that mine, and yet you are able to spend time and effort to lend a hand to those in need..not to mention those hard-earned money that you share...Thank you for the inspiration Chan Kong-sang!!!

A wonderful story. We are in the process of a adopting our beautiful daughter from Baoding SWI. It is so gracious of you to donate the funds necessary to providing a lovely facility for these children while they wait to be adopted. Thank you.
