Jackie with fans from all over the world.

Many wonderful stories have come out of the recent Jackie's Global Friendship Tour.  Fans have written in to share their experiences of meeting Jackie, making new friends, or getting to know Hong Kong.  Recently we heard from a Japanese fan who told a story that made Jackie proud.  "Put it on the website!" said Jackie.  So here it is.

For Japanese fans, the Jackie's Global Friendship Tour 2006 was organized by the Jackie Chan Fan Club in Japan.  As such, the Japanese fans traveled together from Japan as a group and continued to stay together throughout their trip to Hong Kong.  One afternoon, the tour bus stopped at a Hong Kong shopping center so fans could purchase some souvenirs of their trip.  As it turned out, the tour bus was forced to park illegaly and was immediately ticketed by a Hong Kong police officer.  The fans on the bus felt terrible!  They figured that the driver wouldn't have gotten a ticket if they hadn't gone shopping, and this got them to thinking.  Suddenly, everyone on the bus started reaching into pockets and purses and before long, they had collected all the money needed for the driver to pay the fine!  The driver was very touched by the generosity of Jackie's fans.

When Jackie heard this story, he was also quite moved.  He was so proud of the generosity and thoughtfulness of his fans that he wanted to share it with you.
