Every year Jackie gets hundreds of birthday cards from his fans and this year is turning out to be no exception. Already we have begun to receive many beautiful birthday wishes for Jackie! This year we asked fans to take the money that they might have spent on a birthday gift and send it to Jackie for his charity. So far, everyone has responded quite positively!

Jackie always says that it took him years to convince his Japanese fans to stop sending gifts and to send some money instead. He was so happy when they finally began to follow his suggestion and he mentioned that he wished the rest of his fans would also send money in place of gifts. It seems as though this year Jackie's wish just might come true. So far we have gotten many donations tucked inside the birthday cards and no gifts at all. That's just what Jackie would want.

So thank you to everyone who has sent a card with a donation. There's still plenty of time to send us your birthday card for Jackie. If you'd like to see some of the ones that we've received already, click here. We will gather all the cards together and present them to Jackie on April 7th, his 53rd birthday.
