Scrapbook

by Katharine Schroeder

Jackie's manager Willie Chan once wrote that when Jackie comes back to Hong Kong after being away for a while, the entire routine of the JC Group is turned upside down. This was certainly the case this past week when Jackie returned from the USA, where he's been filming Rush Hour 3. His plane had barely touched the ground in Hong Kong when he was off again - this time to Beijing. Once he was finished with business there, he came back to Hong Kong and even though he had only slept for 3 hours the night before, he arranged a dinner party for his friends, family, and staff. The next day he sprinted through the office, then was off to a press conference and the infomercial filming with George Foreman. Another day of filming the infomercial was followed by an appearance at Hong Kong's Asia World Expo, then back to the studio. A few hours of sleep and back to the office before leaving again for the USA to finish up Rush Hour 3.

It was like a typhoon came whirling into Hong Kong for those few days and when Jackie's around, there's a lot of things happening. In the next few weeks we will be filling you in on all of his activities. Coming up we have an interview with George Foreman and Jackie, a Scrapbook entry, lots and lots of photos, more Rush Hour 3 interviews, and new diaries.

Because Jackie was so busy during his return to Hong Kong, he did not have a chance to look over his birthday cards or see the enormous amount of money that's been donated to the Build a School Project in honor of his birthday. We will hold the cards and donations until Jackie returns so that we can get a photo or two for you to see. In the meantime, the hardworking staff of the JC Group is busy choosing the winners for the birthday card contest. We will not reveal the amount of money that's been donated for Jackie's birthday, but we know you will be surprised when you hear the total. We want Jackie to be the one to tell you how much was sent in!

(Note: We have received many birthday cards in the past week and therefore, you may not see your card posted at our web yet. We will try very hard to either scan or photograph the cards so you can see them all.)

So, now that Typhoon Jackie has moved on, we will work hard to share all the news and photos as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
