Over the years, countless numbers of people have met because of their common interest in Jackie. Some have become friends; others have become more than friends. We are happy to share Michael and Jura's romantic story of a chance meeting that changed two lives forever!

Jackie Chan brings people together FOREVER!

Hello everybody,

This is Monica and Michael from Poland. We have a special story to share with you.

We met at the Jackie Chan Global Friendship Tour 2006. Before that we never knew of each other’s existence. It was a big surprise for both of us to see another Polish person at the party. It was thanks to our beloved webmaster, Kath who arranged the same table for us without us knowing anything about it. Before the party she introduced us to each other and the sparks started flying. She said we should hit it off. And we did – right away!

It was a very bonding experience for us – cheering in the same way for Jackie, “wow-ing” at the sight of his office and studio and being blown away by the city that Hong Kong is. We both knew we were already the best friends brought together by destiny. It was simply meant to be.
We had to part for two months after that, but we kept on writing each other e-mails and discovered many more similarities between us:

-          we both have the same movie and sport interests

-          we both share the same opinions and stands

-          even our birthdates are similar (Michael: 28.04.1982; Monica: 28.02.1984)

-          we both have a twin sister!

We met again in Northern Ireland (where Michael was working at that time) and entered into a relationship there. We just couldn’t remain blind to our similarities and our shared love for Jackie, Kung Fu, basketball and all the other things that we do together. We also knew we would never find a person who would understand us more or love us more. We were perfect for each other and to think that we met in such a distant place… We both come from Poland and we were finally united in Hong Kong, because of Jackie Chan!

The relationship is thriving. We have experienced many happy and sad events together. We had to be separated for most of the time, because we live in different cities, but we managed to meet and ‘shake the world in its hinges’:

-          we both practice Kung Fu in the best Polish Wushu School.

-          we attend Kung Fu festivals and other events organized in various cities in Poland --- Michael is a top-notch performer --- he did a lion dance in front of the Chinese Ambassador in Poland as well as other Chinese businessmen; he teaches kids; he demonstrates his skills all around Warsaw (the capital of Poland). Michael’s message to all the people out there is the same as Jackie’s:
“No matter what you do, if you love it, try hard and you’ll succeed” and also “There are no shortcuts in life”. Those two sayings are very true to us.

-          we appeared on a radio show and became one of the Top 5 Most Original Couples of Poland.

-          we often spend time in a way our peers would never think of. We once won tickets for an opera and we enjoyed it very much!

-          oh, and we love to dance together!

Take a quick look at the journey through our relationship. We are the luckiest and the happiest couple! And to think that it all happened thanks to Kath and Jackie Chan. THANK YOU! They should be extremely proud of themselves: they brought Poland’s #1 & #2 JC fans together forever!

Day 314 Michael is called “you wu” – an intelligent warrior.

Day 818 (Summer 2008) We will get married! That’s what Jackie Chan did for us!

Note: Jackie's Global Friendship Tour 2006 was a party and tour hosted by Jackie. It took place in Hong Kong in May 2006.
It is not an annual event.
